This site really took off in Russia for some reason. A lot of the communities I read are more than half Cyrillic now...which doesnt hurt me that badly as they are mostly WW2 photography boards.
The thing that worries me is the constant exodus to facebook and the like. Basically one thing makes LJ great...the friends page. One click and I can see what all my friends are up to. The problem is, more than half of them never post here any more. Ah well, I'm a cranky old luddite and I will likely remain here long after the inevitable, simply because I have so much of my life invested in these electronic pages.
