and I have a new pair of glasses, too. I got the feeling that I might need an extra pair when I dropped and smashed one of the lenses in my old ones (which I love) on a stone tile just before New Years, and I found a lovely pair of vintage frames when visiting in Amsterdam in April, at the Amsterdam Brilmuseum - which is a great place, by the way, I highly recommend a visit for anyone who is in the least interested in spectacles if you're passing through. The museum shop has a spectacular collection of vintage frames for sale.

Mine are late 50's or early 60's, and rather similar to my old frames in many ways, but these have a distinct cat-eye shape, even if it's an unusual one, and my other pair is more rectangular. These are smaller, too, but I feel that they demand more in terms of make-up and hair than my other pair. Maybe that's just because they're all shiny and new, though.
