I like the metal version - have seen it quite a bit on Ebay and similar places. It might be a nice touch on something tracht-inspired, I suppose.
It would be ridiculous on me too, of course, but that's the point, after all. :) I did climb a tiny little Alp last year, my dad lives in Trento in the Italian Alps, but that's no excuse.
