Well, a tiny, insignificant one, at least - I'm touching up my roots with semi-permanent colour, no more permanent black hair dye for me. It's still a two component colour, so I'm not sure if it will make much of a difference, but I hope that it will make the process easier if/when I decide to go blonde.
Strictly speaking I can't do it before grandma dies, though. It's childish and stupid, but she would be so disgustingly smug and self-congratulatory if she saw me go back to blonde that I just can't face it. We have rubbed one another the wrong way since I was in kindergarten - there's this story about how I wanted to help grandpa dig up potatoes wearing a new skirt when I was five or so (some things never change, fun + pretty clothes = fun²), we got into an argument and it got so out of hand that grandpa intervened and told her to back off and let me get dirty. I must have been a horrible brat, of course, but our relationship is only slightly more civilized nowadays.

But on the other hand I'm sure it can be done ;) Look at all these starlets in Hollywood, like Olsens or Lindsey Lohan, they change from black to blond and blond to black all the time. ;)
The most horrible thing is when girls try to grow back their natural blond leaving the black on. It looks so horrible...brrr After all it's 21st century. I'm sure it can be done properly ;)

Did you have dyed black hair before you went blonde?

When I went blond I had naturally dark hair (dark brown) and some lighter higlights, but not dyed black. So it was really easy to became a blond girl ;) Now I decided to stick to dark / black, but I have some blond wigs for parties and "special occasions" ;))
When it comes to short blond hair I like Kate Lanphear's hairstyle.
Ohh..I also have a great pic of blond hairstyle that you may like, just need to look for it at my harddrive. :)

Did you bleach it yourself, or have it done professionally?
That's a nice one. I'm thinking about going for a short pageboy kind of cut, sort of like this (http://hem.bredband.net/pimpinett/stil/classicpageboy.jpg), but much shorter and not as angled backwards. An angled bob is tempting too, but I've done that to death, even if it was a long time ago. I'm aiming for something more like this effect (http://hem.bredband.net/pimpinett/stil/blond2.jpg), I think. I will definitely be looking into hairpieces, too, half the point of going blonde is doing Heidi braids. :)

She just looks perfect with that.
I bleached my hair myself. I even didn't use any bleach before, just very light blond hair dye, and it looked great. The shade was a bit darker than the pic on the box but looked very natural. The more I dyed them myself the worse they looked though ;) So I guess you can call it beginner's luck ;)

Not sure how I will go about it - I think I'll go to my old hair stylist, she knows my hair, even though I haven't had it cut professionally in years. I want to get it as close as possible to my own colour - whatever that is, these days. It used to look kind of like this (http://hem.bredband.net/pimpinett/stil/blond3.jpg), both colour and texture, but it might be darker now and I may have some grey hairs, too.
