I am thinking about what to do with this account a good deal - whether to transplant my LiveJournal activities here eventually, use it for garden posts instead, do both (IE, create another account for the garden geekery) or something else entirely. Having two separate accounts (of some sort) for gardening and what I do on my LJ is probably a good idea, I think, partly because I suspect that the garden bits might not be very interesting to the people who read my LJ, and partly because I'm not sure I want to let the people who might be interested in the gardening posts in on the sides of me that are currently on LJ, and mirrored here.

I tend to like keeping different parts of my life separated to some extent. I haven't shared the LJ account with very many of my friends, for instance - they may know about it anyway, of course, I haven't exactly kept it a secret either and it would be very easy to find for anyone looking for it, but it's not meant as a way to keep in touch with people I know, or even to let people know what is going on in my life.

We'll see.

Still can't figure out how to upload an icon. Even if I drop the dpi way down it fails. I have tried from my 'puter and photobucket.

Is this a new blog site ? how did you come to it ?

Hmmm I just wondered cause there are few tutorials for use. I am using a jpeg at 200 dpi. Dunno, Whats the diff. of subscribing and access ??

I am considering travel to three cities, Stockholm,prauge, and St, petersberg. Any thoughts ?

Good choices all three of them, I think, both St Petersburg and Prague are on my list of places to visit as well - never been to either city. Prague is supposedly rather run down by tourists and possibly less interesting than it used to be, but it's probably a great city to visit regardless.

I have heard the same of Prauge. Its used to film alot of movies because its one of the few medevil cities that didn;t get bombed in the last war. Then again I have always wanted to see the Amber riim now that its restored...

I have heard that Bratislava is very nice, and less touristy than Prague. Still, I'm sure Prague is great for what it is and it's hardly going to become less exploited with time, so why not?

The difference between subscription and access is a trust/security thing, as far as I've gathered - subscribers only see your public posts, basically, while people you give access to get parts or all of your protected posts as well. I like the idea of that.

Oh, of course! I just thought I had gushed at length about how great Stockholm is a few times already. :)

None that I know of right now, but I'll let you know if anything comes up! There's bound to be something, sooner or later. http://dekadance.se/ might be worth keeping an eye on, as well as http://tinitus.com/.
